Al- Jac’s Winegrape is Excited to Welcome You into the Spring 2023 Wine Season!
Wine Regions of Chile
Chile is a country that expands over 6,000 km from north to south and accommodates the ideal temperatures needed to grow an excellent winemaking product. The ideal placements of the Andes Mountains and the currents of the Pacific Ocean create a mineral-enriched soil and exterior climate where wine grapes thrive.
Introducing pressed single-strength juices from the prestigious winemaking regions of Maule and Curicó in Chile, this product allows the winemaker to expand their winemaking experience to other areas of the world. Malbec and Carmenère are two of Central Valley, Chile’s most popular and well-respected varieties.
RED
Cabernet Sauvignon
Rich and full-bodied with a cherry currant flavor.
Cabernet Franc
A delightful plum-colored red, often distinguished as being “lighter and fruitier” than the Sauvignon.
Carmenere
Known for its deep color, plush tannins, and unique, spicy aromas and flavors.
Malbec
A full-bodied wine with soft silkiness embodies blackberry and plum flavors.
Merlot
A dry, soft textured red wine with a rich aromatic bouquet of fresh red cherries, toasted oak, and herbs. It is considered a food-friendly wine.
Pinot Noir
Flavors of dark cherries, red currants, and berries are common.
Syrah
Full-bodied with notes of blueberries and blackberries. In addition, its fairly marked tannins are synonymous with wines that age very well. They are elegant wines and often stand out for their spiced and meaty notes.
WHITE
Chardonnay
Smooth and well-rounded, it has moderate acidity and gives a flavor of tropical fruit.
Muscat
A wine known to be sweet with an earthy taste, often used for blending.
Pinot Grigio
Crisp and fresh with lemon mineral notes.
Sauvignon blanc
Carries a taste of white peach and honeydew flavors and usually has a citrus aroma.
Wine Regions of South Africa
South Africa is one of the most fascinating and beautiful wine-producing countries that has won over the hearts of wine lovers throughout the years. The finest South African Red Wines embody characteristics that are compared to countries such as Chile and Argentina, with the complexity and earthiness of regions such as Burgundy in France.
Here are the South African Wine Juices we will be offering this Spring:
RED
Merlot
This is another major player when it comes to New World red wines. Merlot is a Bordeaux variety which with the warmth of the southern climate produces a lush, well rounded and fruity flavor.
Shiraz
Full bodied wine that tends to be rich with blackberry and blueberry flavors.
Pinotage
This is a real pleaser among the crowd of red wine drinkers. It has a smoky, sultry character and the flavors of cherries and dark fruit.
WHITE
Chardonnay
This crisp and dry, mouthwatering wine displays lively flavors of green apple, citrus and pineapple.
Chenin Blanc
An intense dry, mouth-filling mashup of ripe apple, peach, citrus zest and honeysuckle.
Sauvignon Blanc
When it comes to flavor it is herbaceous, and green fruit notes tend to be present. Has slightly soft acidity.
Pinot Grigio
Delicate floral and fresh apricot notes on the nose, followed by a delicious combination of white peach and fresh, crisp tropical fruits. Excellent served on its own or as a perfect pair to chicken dishes, seafood and fruit desserts.
